Allowing Mindful Pleasure for Social Change

This informative and engaging workshop uplifts the necessity of mindful pleasure in our pursuit of self-empowerment, community cultivation and social justice. We'll review how pleasure can be mindful, how it transforms our body chemistry and equips us to fight the good fight for peace. We'll learn, express, play and discuss together in circle and walk away with deeper permission and urgency to bring mindful pleasure to various aspects of our lives.

Art and Consent

The Art and Consent Workshop is about YOU. What does consent look like for your own body? What are you boundaries? How does consent and self-care mix for you? In this workshop, we'll be exploring these questions, but in a relaxed non-academic environment. This is a place to brainstorm, do a few simple arts exercises and ultimately create your own affirmation piece about consent/boundaries/mental health/healing, whatever you need to create to care for yourself in that moment.

Co - Conspirator: Beyond ‘Ally’

This workshop is open to anyone and is aimed at white folx working to be in solidarity with people of color and cisgender and/or straight people working to be in solidarity with those who identify as LGBTQ. We will look at anti-blackness, white supremacy culture, homophobia, trans-phobia, and the intersection of all of these things. We will begin to think about what it means to be not just an "ally" but a co-conspirator with folx from marginalized identities.

Reproductive Justice

Reproductive justice is a framework and a movement based in the belief that every human has the right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children they have in safe and sustainable communities (SisterSong, 1994). Through a series of interactive activities participants will learn about the history of reproductive oppression and how they can enact the key aspects of reproductive justice in their activism and in their lives.
